ALGE TIMING LED Video Walls

Timing Ireland now has the ability to supply State of the art L.E.D (Light Emitting Diodes)
video wall technology for your sporting event or indeed any indoor or outdoor public event.
LED-Video Walls
LED-Video Walls are very complex. A lot of specifications influence the price.
We would like to give you a short introduction on different terms that are used for LED-Video Walls:
Pixel: One Pixel is the smallest point you can show with a Matrix-Scoreboard.
Any pixel can consist of several LED’s.

Pitch: Describes the distance from the centre of one pixel to the centre of another pixel.
In general the pitch starts with 4 mm and goes up to 50 mm.
The smaller the pitch, the better the resolution and the more expensive the board is per mē.

Pixel Size: The bigger the pixel dimension compared to the pitch, the sharper the picture (fill grade).
LED/Pixel: Any Pixel can consist of one or more LEDīs. The more LEDīs per pixel, the better the picture quality,
Resolution: The resolution is the amount of pixels in vertical and horizontal order.
The more pixels there are vertically and horizontally on a display the better the picture quality and the better the resolution.
Luminosity: The luminosity (Brightness) of a display is measured in cd/mē or in Nit(Candela per square meter) and is important for the brightness of
the board. This technical characteristic is also given in different ways.
Some producers will give the luminosity when all colors are in maximum brightness. Any serious producer will give the
brightness in the white-balanced state.
Different colored scoreboards need also a different luminosity for outdoors.
1 color 2000 cd/mē
2(3) col 3500 cd/mē
full color 5000cd/mē in white-balanced state!!
For full color scoreboards it is very important to give the luminosity in white balanced state. Some manufacturers will give
the brightness in all colors with 100%. This can result in a brightness of 8.000 cd/mē, but after the board is calibrated
(white-balanced) it has only 5.000 cd/mē left!
Viewing Angle: This is a detail which is not 100% the same for different manufacturers. Some producers define
All serious manufacturers will define the half-center brightness, which means in simple words the angle where you still have
50% of the full luminosity!
The Viewing angle on our displays are 140 Degrees.
Refresh rate: The higher the refresh rate the smoother the picture.
We have a standard refresh rate of 240 fps (Frames per second) and for the professional series we have a refresh rate of 500 fps.
These high refresh rates mean that our screens are more than suitable for television production.
The LED’s in a outdoor display are completely sealed with a special silicone and there are horizontal sunblockers (visors) integrated in the
LED modules.

We can produce displays that are one colour, two colour or full colour
1 Colour: The display has only one color (e.g. red). This color can have different shades to make a better picture (e.g.
256 shades, like a black and white picture). Most of these displays are also able to show animation-files.
2 Colour: A two colour display has red and green coloured LED's, These two colors can be mixed
to achieve more than 40,000 colors. But all colors are in red, green and yellow-tones.
3 colour / Full colour: In a full colour video wall there are three different colours, Red,green and blue (RGB)
These colours can be mixed so it has the complete true colour spectrum of 16.7 Million colours.
