Established in 1982, under the name of “Race Management Ltd”, the company was formed to provide Sports management services and also Electronic precision timing services to athletic events. It was not long before other sporting associations such as Basketball, Triathlons, Show Jumping Etc, became interested in the services that Race Management Ltd had to offer. Specialists in the field of electronic sports timing, Race Management overtime began to supply services to other sporting associations where scorekeeping was involved, This marked a radical change in the direction of the company, which was made completely possible with the versatile and high quality equipment that the company used in the time keeping business. Due to the company moving into new areas, it was time for a make over, and in early 2002 the name “Timing Ireland” – sports technology was adopted. We continue to supply the highest quality timing equipment that has met every sporting associations accuracy specifications to world record level. Since the company’s establishment in 1982, Timing Ireland has been in the background of every major Athletic sporting event in Ireland. Our crowning achievement was the involvement in The Special Olympics World games 2003, where we were responsible for all the electronic times and results at three venues. 1) Morton stadium, Santry (Athletics) 2) Phoenix Park, Dublin (Cycling) 3) Salmon Leap, Dublin (Canoeing) Timing Ireland also permanently installed 20 electronic scoreboards for the games.
